The reconstructed nail typically lasts between 4 and 8 weeks, after which it can be reapplied if needed. Unlike salon gel nails, toenail reconstruction uses a flexible gel that moves with the toe, ensuring it feels natural and does not damage the underlying nail and allows the natural nail to grow freely.

The procedure involves cleaning and reducing the nail, applying a bonding solution, then layering the gel, each hardened under a UV light. The final result is shaped and buffed smooth.
