Warm Wax Therapy

Warm Wax Therapy combines the healing properties of Lavender, Myrrh, Orange, Frankincense, Bay leaf and vitamins A and E with the comfort and relaxation of heated paraffin wax to penetrate and relieve aching, tired feet.

This 30-minute treatment can help with:

Warm Wax Treatment
  • Poor circulation

  • Muscle pain

  • Painful joints

  • Swelling

  • Arthritis

  • Scleroderma

  • Dry and hard skin

  • Sports injuries

  • Heel pain

Here at Feet & Motion Podiatry Clinic, Horsham, we use Prende Wax Therapy Treatment which is painted on to either feet, hands or lower limbs. The wax is left on the area for up to 10 minutes to allow the heat of the wax and essential oils to penetrate the skin, then massaged off, leaving the area feeling soft, supple, relaxed and pain relieved.

This treatment has the most benefit after a podiatry treatment as excess hard skin will be removed, but it is not essential.

What happens at a warm wax therapy treatment session?

  • The feet, hands or limbs are prepared using antibacterial gel, and then a base oil is massaged into the limb.

  • The wax is heated to a comfortable 51℃ and tested before being applied to clean undamaged skin.

  • Warm wax is then applied using a disposable brush, stopping any cross-contamination from patient to patient. The wax is not reusable and will never be used on another patient.

  • Once the limb is covered with wax, a plastic covering and bootie, mit or foil are also applied for up to 10 minutes to allow the treatment to relax and regenerate the limb.

  • The wax is then removed by way of massage, encouraging blood flow, and leaving the skin feeling soft and supple.

The treatment's effects can last from 1 - 3 weeks, depending on activity levels.

The cost of this treatment is £35 for 30 minutes which will allow either the feet, hands or lower limb to be treated. For two areas to be treated, the cost is £60 with a duration of 1 hour.
