Prices listed below are effective from the 1st July 2023

Initial consultation - (45 minutes)

For new patients - your first step toward healthy feet starts here!

Initial Consultation appointments are for new patients looking for help with general nail and skin complaints, such as problematic toenails, fungal infections, corns, or callus. At your first appointment we will perform a thorough examination of your feet and take a detailed medical history, so please bring a list of your current medications. During your Initial Consultation we will diagnose any conditions you have, carry out any immediate treatment required for your skin and/or nail issues, give you advice on whether further treatment is required, and agree a treatment plan with you. At the end of you Initial Consultation your podiatrist will recommend any follow-up appointments you may need as a returning patient.

If you need help with nail and/or skin complaints then book an Initial Consultation appointment with one of our Podiatrists, Natalie or Flo, and let us help get you on the right track to move forward.

Biomechanics Assessment - (1 hour)

Pain not going away?

If you have pain and/or injury, then please book a Biomechanics Assessment appointment. This is an in-depth assessment of your lower limb muscle action, joint position, lower limb alignment, and walking (gait analysis). During a Biomechanics Assessment appointment, we can identify various problems that can result in injuries, pain, and disfunction in your feet, ankles, knees, hip, and/or back.

To gain a full understanding of the problem the podiatrists at Feet & Motion will take a detailed medical and lifestyle history and then carry out a range of assessments on your feet and lower limbs in both the standing and seated position. We also look at how you walk and move to analyse your gait and make an examination of your current footwear.

Based on all this information your podiatrist will recommend a comprehensive treatment plan and on-going support. If appropriate we can design a rehabilitation exercise plan for you using Physitrack software. Our Biomechanics Assessment service is available to both new and existing patients. If you have pain and/or injury, then book a Biomechanics Assessment with one of our podiatrists, Natalie or Flo, and let us help you get back to doing what you love.

MLS Laser Therapy

Reduce Pain. Heal Faster.

MLS Laser therapy is a completely safe, non-invasive, and painless method of managing acute or chronic pain and inflammation for injuries or in conditions such as arthritis. Your podiatrist may recommend MLS Laser therapy as part of your treatment plan for pain and injury.

For more information see our MLS Laser therapy page.

Nail surgery under local anaesthetic

Ingrowing toenails - ouch! But you don’t need to live with pain.

In-grown toenails can occur for several reasons: - the nail may be too wide for the toe, trauma, ill-fitting footwear, or a gradual change in the shape of the toe causing abnormal pressure on the nail. Usually in-grown nails can be resolved with a conservative treatment. However, your podiatrist may recommend nail surgery if you have an in-grown nail that is not responding well to conservative treatment, if you have suffered repeated infections, or if you have excessively thick damaged nails.

Depending on your needs we can remove with the entire nail or just a narrow section on one side, so once fully healed the nail still looks normal. Nail Surgery is performed by our podiatrists Natalie or Flo. If you’re new to Feet and Motion, please book an Initial Consultation first and we can discuss all your treatment options for painful or problematic nails.

Diabetic foot health check - (45 minutes)

We’ll support you and help you stay healthy and active.

People with diabetes are at increased risk of foot health problems. Professional care of their feet is essential to prevent serious problems. We use quantifiable techniques to assess your foot health, including Doppler (ultrasound) vascular assessment and Monofilament testing for neurological testing of sensory deficiency.

The Diabetic Foot Health Check is a six-monthly or annual service for existing patients. This regular check may be sufficient for your needs, or more frequent standard podiatry treatments may be more suitable. If you’re new to Feet and Motion, please book an Initial Consultation first and we can advise on your individual needs.

Verruca treatments:

Verrucas can be a pain.

Verrucae are caused by Human Papilloma Virus and, usually, clear up on their own without treatment. However, if you’re struggling with stubborn or extensive verrucae, we offer a range of treatment options.

Topical verruca treatment

Regular treatment sessions with debridement and application of an appropriate topical treatment.

Needling procedure

Verruca needling is performed under local anaesthetic. Needling works by using a sterile needle to creating multiple controlled punctures to the affected area of skin, stimulating an effective immune response to the virus.

Swift therapy treatment

Swift therapy is delivered through a handheld probe to treat affected tissue in a precise and controlled way.  It uses microwave energy, which penetrates to a predetermined depth of 3.2mm, to target water molecules within the verruca cells, creating heat, and damaging the virus so that it becomes visible to your immune system. Once your immune system detects the virus, it can attack and resolve the infection.

Cosmetic services:

Warm Wax Therapy - (30 minutes)

Treat your feet.

A deeply relaxing therapy for people with dry skin, tired aching feet, and those in need a bit of ‘self-care’ time. Prende Wax Therapy treatment combines the healing properties of 6 essential oils and warm paraffin wax to relieve symptoms of poor circulation, muscle pain, and arthritis, and can soften dry and hard skin when applied to the feet. The hands and lower limbs can also be treated at an additional cost of £30 per area. This service is available to new and existing patients. Book warm wax therapy with our FHP Steph.

Nail Reconstruction

You don’t need to feel self-conscious about your toenails.

Nails can become damaged through trauma or by fungal infection. Toenail reconstruction is ideal for those who consider their nails unsightly. This is a cosmetic procedure that can last several weeks - perfect for getting your feet ready for summer sandals. After an Initial Consultation you can book Nail Reconstruction with our FHP Steph.
